Spencer Aircraft is again teaming with SIM Flight Center to provide a shuttle service from Pierce County Airport/Thun Field (PLU) to the Conference facility. Contact Spencer at 253-848-9349 for shuttle information. Pierce County Airport (PLU) is 5.5 miles from the NW Aviation Conference.

When I hear or read "Puyallup". I think of the story of the guy and his wife that bought a new truck in Vancouver, WA and equipped it with a camper, then drove to the Puyallup Fair. He didn't even get to buy a ticket when a guy leading an elephant came buy and for some reason the elephant decided to sit on the hood of the truck. The events following were hilarious. I heard it on the radio and had to pull off I-5 to wipe the tears from my eyes. I never found a written account of the story. Anyone up there remember this? Yes, it happened before some of you were born. I tried to Google the story, but got nothing.

I plan to attend the NW Aviation trade show next weekend. I'll be driving up from Independence, Oregon as the "time machine" will be in the shop getting a new autopilot installed. I'm looking for a couple more goodies for the Sundowner, hopefully deeply discounted! I just joined BAC last summer so this will be my first "event" attended.
