1979 Beech Skipper For Sale - Needs engine overhaul completed. The engine has been removed opened up and inspected, we have all the parts being held to complete the overhaul.
Quote today from my A&P to finish the rebuild and Annual and have her ready to fly is $35,000 plus a margin for any surprises.
I am asking $30,000.
At the asking price of 30K someone can finish the overhaul and be right at Vref Book Value (63k).
I bought this airplane in August 2025 - The Pre-Buy back in April was a huge miss! My mechanic discovered the engine was in a bad state during December's Annual.
Now is the time for someone to schedule a thorough pre-buy while she is all taken apart. Currently located in Cuba MO - KUBX. @2.5 hour drive East of Springfield MO.
To complete the overhaul we are sitting about 35K - This is a full IRAN with new cylinders, crankshaft, camshaft, lifters, mag inspection, carb rebuild etc. along with all other original major components that have been sent for inspection (and have passed like the rods, gears etc..)
It is being done correctly.
All parts are identified and held pending a decision. Someone still has the option of putting on a 0 Time engine if they wish - Just realize the core is bad so you will also pay that cost.
This is going to be an airplane ready to serve for many many years to come! While the airplane is apart, it is the perfect time to get your pre-buy done! My mechanic is available to do all the work and he is very well known for his competence in our area.
